At the High Sheriff Awards, Stephen Rodgers handed out certificates to many groups and individuals who have given up their time and effort to the local people. For the the two members who represented the club, Hywel Griffiths and Michael Beck, it was a proud occasion to stand up with organisations such as Macmillan’s and one individual who has raised over a million pounds for charity! Once photos were taken, there was time to chat with Mr Rodgers, Susan Gaynor, director of the CVS and previous High Sheriff, and a number of other important figures. All those who received the award were thanked for their hard work and diligence before receiving light refreshments and having the chance to chat and find out what was happening locally. In all, an enjoyable occasion for the club with a certificate that should instil pride in its volunteers and members.
